b"The NewsSenior SchoolThe Senior SchoolWhat a brilliantly busy termwe have had in the Senior School. I have felt such warmth and welcome from every conversation I have had with parents, pupils and staff. There is something precious about the small interactions I have had with pupils and whilst we have many things to celebrate this term, for me thesmall things are worth highlighting. The morning welcome on the gate is a joy every day, come rain, hail, wind or sun. As the newly appointed Head of Senior, I have enjoyed this opportunity to say hello to pupils, hear stories of their day, offer advice, share in the discomfort of soggy feet or guide to lost property. With each interaction,I am always impressed by the politeness of our pupils and invariably their RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMMEkindness. Our pupils have shone in many other ways this term too, through recitals, productions, exhibitions, trips, and residentials. They are living and breathing our habits of learning. Many of these can be read about in the pages to follow. They have engaged with the extra-curricular programme, leadership opportunities, and many other curricular activities across the term.We have also had many opportunities to welcome parents into the school. It has been great to meet many of you at coffee mornings, celebration events, UNIVERSITY FAIR parents' evening and even at the gate in the morning. I hope that you enjoy this moment to reflect on this first term and read about the wide and diverse range of activities that our pupils have experienced and I would like to take this opportunity to thank staff, pupils and parents for all of the support and engagements with school life this term.As the holidays approach, on behalf of the entire Senior School I would like to wish our entire community a safe and enjoyable break and we look forward to welcoming you all back in the New Year.RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMME NICOLA MEIKLEHEAD OF SENIOR SCHOOLn.meikle @ britams.nl 14"
