b'Issue 11 The British School of AmsterdamFrom the PrincipalIt was wonderful to be starting the new academic year as a whole school with everyone on site.@bsa_principal principal@britams.nl Dear Parents, Pupils and Staff,Welcome to the Autumn edition of The Review. It was great to welcome everyone back after the break and also new families to all parts of the School. It was wonderful to be starting the new academic year as a whole school with everyone on site, as Year 11 and 13 had study leave in the Summer Term.We were able to restart clubs and other extra-curricular activities this term. You will see that the pupils have achieved many things and there has been a lot to celebrate both academically and also with many events taking place throughout the School. From Children in Need fundraising and Sinterklaas visiting, to conferences and competitions exploring the serious issues of today, and some of our History students even had the honour of meeting Holocaust survivor Selma van der Perre.I want to take a moment to recognise how amazing our pupils are during these challenging times. Their resilience has been incredible. We are so proud of them. I also want to thank the staff for their continued hard work and bringing our vision to life by nurturing, inspiring and empowering all our pupils. Thank you also to the parents for your support!I hope you are all able to spend the holiday season withyour loved ones and to take the time to have a restful break.PAUL MORGAN, PRINCIPALTHE BRITISH SCHOOL OF AMSTERDAM3'
