b"Issue 14 The British School of AmsterdamAnti Bullying WeekIn November, we marked Anti-Bullying week across the school. This is an annual event which started withOdd Socks Day. Children and staff wore odd socks to celebrate diversity in our world and school community. Reach Out was this year's theme and the children were encouraged to think about the role they play in making our school a kind and inclusive place. In our assemblies, 2JH presented information about how to Stop Bulling Now to Year 2 and 3, and 5BM gave an assembly for Year 4, 5 and 6. They thought about the power of our words and how one kind word can make someone's day. The values of kindness and acceptance discussed during this week are a core part of our school ethos and will continue to have an impact far beyond the week itself.COBIS CompetitionsThe children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Poetry and Art Competitions this term with other schools across the world. This was a great opportunity to showcase the many talented individuals we have in school, both in terms of their literary skills and their artistic flair. Entries were chosen from within the Junior School and we eagerly await the overall results.Well done to everyone who took part.13"
