b"Issue 13 The British School of AmsterdamArts WeeksMusic and art-filled the corridors during this year's Arts Weeks. Many children welcomed their friends each morning by playing their musical instruments whilst everyone arrived - this was a fabulous way to start each day!Across the school, the children attended specialised ukulele workshops and in Art lessons, they worked together to produce collaborative pieces inspired by famous artists. Year 2 learnt about the work of Vincent Van Gogh and Georges Seurat, Year 3's inspiration came from Yayoi Kusama and Joan Mitchell, Year 4 explored the work of Georgia O'Keeffe, Year 5 learnt about Claude Monet's art and Year 6 focussed on the work of Salvador Dali and Freidensreich Hundertwasser. To finish the arts weeks celebrations, the whole school joined together in The Globe to sing the international songs they had learnt over the weeks. 15"
